In the role of Vice President, Distributor Markets and Geographic Optimization, Francisco Hidalgo leads the Company transformation initiative across the Latin America, Middle East, and Africa Regions. Francisco evaluates and develops relationships with potential distributors where appropriate partnerships. Francisco oversees the execution of the exit market strategy, ensuring medically necessary products are appropriately made available. Also, he's responsible for governance of the global Mature Product portfolio, ensuring that BMS has a comprehensive and global approach to managing $3bn+ portfolio. Francisco leads a cross-functional team ,as well as employees from finance, legal, business development and regulatory affairs.
Francisco joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1993 as GM, Colombia. He was promoted to the position of GM Puerto Rico & the Caribbean in 1998 and promoted to GM, ACCA Region in 2002. He assumed a role as GM of Brazil in 2007.
Francisco holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Bogota Tadeo Lozano and an M.B.A. from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
