Edith A. Hunt
Edith A. Hunt is the firm’s chief diversity officer and an advisory director to Goldman Sachs, advising the firm on key talent management initiatives. Previously, she was the global head of Talent Management, responsible for recruiting, diversity and training from 2006 to 2011. Edie continues to be an ally of the firm’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Network.
Edie joined Goldman Sachs in 1981 as a personnel director in the J. Aron Currency and Commodities Division and in 1982, she moved to Precious Metals Sales/Trading, where she became a vice president in 1984. She then joined Fixed Income management in 1986. Edie was head of Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Human Capital Management from 1999 to 2001. She was named managing director in 1999 and partner in 2004.
Edie is a member of the Howard University School of Business Board of Visitors, the Women’s Campaign International Board of Directors and St. Philip’s Academy Board of Trustees. She also serves on the Trustee’s Council of Penn Women and and the Board of Nimbus Dance Works.
Edie earned an MBA from The University of Chicago in 1974 and BA and BS degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972.
