Dr. Karen Eng has worked to build CSMI as a leading engineering firm in the FDA & USDA regulated industries. CSMI provides project management, field and construction support, electrical, mechanical, controls and packaging engineering services. Upon becoming President in 2000, CSMI has grown exponentially in both revenues and staff, and prides itself on having a nearly non-existent employee turnover. Karen received a B.S. in Biochemistry and Biology from the University of California, San Diego and her doctorate from the New England College of Optometry. She completed resident optometric services at the John Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. Karen serves on the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Chinese American Service League, Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council, Organization of Chinese Americans, Old Town School of Folk Music, and Camp CEO (Girl Scouts). Karen enjoys her 6 year old daughter, Kiana, and her husband of 10 years, Scott.
