Dorothy P. Thomas is Vice President and Supervising Principal of MetLife's U.S Business and head of Corporate Benefit Funding’s Annuity and Investment Operations. Dorothy is responsible for all aspects of operations supporting new business and in-force contracts, with $61 billion in benefit liabilities for 11,400 corporate clients and 1.2 million benefit recipients with some of MetLife’s most significant and longstanding corporate customers. Dorothy has been with MetLife her entire career, has held various management level positions in MetLife’s Retirement and Benefit Funding businesses. More than 25 of those years have been dedicated to managing and improving the customer service experience. Over the past 12 years, much of Dorothy's focus has been on innovating business Operating Environments. Dorothy has developed business strategies and organizational designs to transform business operations, manage change and develop requisite talent. She has successfully led several complex business and technology platform conversions, consolidated affiliate systems and services, executed operational and technical innovations. In addition, Dorothy has led the development of a talent management process for Corporate Benefit Funding business. Dorothy is also an Officer of MetLife's affiliate companies, MetLife Securities, Inc, New England Financial and General American Life Insurance Company.
