In April 2010, Ms. Hansen was appointed as the NRO’s Deputy Chief Information Officer. Prior to serving at NRO, she held a variety of federal positions of increasing responsibility, providing engineering and IT support to the foreign affairs, military, and intelligence communities. Her recently held executive positions reflect a mix of IT strategic planning, IT program management, personnel management, technology implementation, and IT O&M experience. 

Ms. Hansen graduated with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from Louisiana State University in 1988, and a M.S. degree in EE from George Washington University in 1993. Before becoming a federal employee, she worked as an electrical engineer on the R&D of leading edge radar and infrared search-and-track technology at GE Aerospace in Utica, NY. A Baton Rouge, LA native, Ms. Hansen presently resides in the DC-metropolitan area with her husband and daughter.
