In 2010, Deborah H. Barrett launched her own consulting business, DH Barrett Solutions, LLC, offering a range of services to help companies achieve their goals and objectives. These solutions are designed to support an organization’s efforts to improve the workplace culture and the diversity of the workforce with special consideration to your talent development and work-life integration. Deb offers the unique combination of experience as a general business manager in Sales and Marketing, and HR executive specializing in diversity and leadership development, which provides her with a well-rounded and pragmatic approach to solving real-world business problems in the diversity and inclusion arena.
Deb was a senior-level Customer Business Development Manager at Procter and Gamble (P&G) leading various teams prior to becoming a Human Resources executive in Diversity & Inclusion. As a business development professional, Deb led a team of 36 multi-functional resources handling over $890 million in sales for P&G, improving year-over-year sales annually. In the role of North America Diversity Practice Leader for P&G, she developed and executed Diversity strategy and programming for 55,000 employees improving the workplace culture and increasing representation of diverse employees. Deb conducted extensive benchmarking of peer companies before implementing programs at P&G designed to improve leadership development, leadership accountability, training, and scorecard metrics. Deb’s speciality areas within Diversity and Inclusion are the advancement of women and work-life integration/flexibility. She executed several programs at P&G to enhance the pipeline of qualified women managers leveraging executive coaching, succession planning and intentional staffing and assignment planning. Deb also developed several initiatives at P&G to improve the employee work-life integration, thereby improving the retention of employees needing more flexibility in their work assignments. This work required the enrollment of senior executives and execution of tailored programs for employees.
Deb earned her MBA at Villanova University and completed her BSBA, with a minor in Sociology, from Bucknell University. Deb has been a guest lecturer on various business topics at universities, professional association meetings and conferences, and she is certified in many diversity training approaches and as an executive coach.
