Deborah Epstein Henry is an expert and consultant on workplace restructuring, talent management, work/life balance, and retaining and promoting lawyers with a focus on women.  She is the author of LAW & REORDER: Legal Industry Solutions for Restructure, Retention, Promotion & Work/Life Balance, the #1 best selling 2011 ABA Flagship book.  A former practicing litigator, Debbie is President of Flex-Time Lawyers LLC, a consulting firm well known for running the Best Law Firms for Women initiative with Working Mother magazine - a national survey to select the top 50 law firms for women and report on industry trends.  Flex-Time Lawyers provides advisory, training and speaking services to law firms, companies and non-profits in the US, Canada and Europe. 

Debbie has garnered visibility for her work from The New York Times, NBC Nightly News, NPR,The Wall Street Journal, and The National Law Journal, among numerous others.  She has developed a national network of over 10,000 lawyers from which she co-founded Bliss Lawyers, a secondment firm placing high caliber lawyers in temporary engagements that, at times, convert into permanent employment. 

Debbie has numerous professional affiliations including serving as a Forum of Executive Women Member, a Task Force for Talent Innovation Legal Industry Advisor, an ABA Commission on Women in the Profession Liaison, and a New York State Bar Association Committee for Lawyers in Transition Consultant.  She has received many awards, including most recently, the 2012 Philadelphia Business Journal “Women of Distinction”.  Debbie received her B.A. in Psychology from Yale and her J.D. cum laude from Brooklyn Law School.  She clerked for the Honorable Jacob Mishler in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.  She is married and the mother of three sons, ages 17, 15, and 12.
