Deborah de Vries
Deborah de Vries is a SVP of Talent Management, Organizational Development and Co-Head of Diversity for Citi North America Consumer Banking in New York. She is responsible for building organizational capability through strategic HR initiatives as they relate to: talent management, organizational and cultural change, leadership development, team dynamics and conflict management.
Deborah graduated with a doctorate in Organizational Behavior in Human Resource Management from the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, Canada where she specialized in group decision-making under risk and uncertainty, emotions impact on negotiation, and gender differences in leadership style and effectiveness. She has published a book, “Hope, Groupthink and the Decision to Invade Iraq: Group Hope and Risky Group Decision Making,” and book chapter, “How to Conduct a Legally Defensible Performance Appraisal” in, “What Smart Trainers Know”.
