As USVP of Human Resources for McDonald’s USA, Danitra Barnett oversees all aspects of HR Talent and Development along with the design and execution of restaurant-related HR systems and processes, which includes developing solutions for all company-owned restaurants and providing support to more than 2,200 franchisees and more than 13,000 restaurants nationwide. Throughout her more than twenty-five year career with McDonald’s, which began behind the counter as a crew person, Danitra has held various roles within the company allowing her to hone her skills in all aspects of HR Management. Danitra has received numerous awards for her leadership, including McDonald’s prestigious President’s Award in 1991, the Women’s Leadership Network Award in 2001 and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Special Service Award in 2002. Together with her husband, Edgar, Danitra has three children and resides in Burr Ridge, IL.
