Cheryl Kern’s responsibilities include strategic development, implementation and management of Global Diversity and Inclusion and Engagement programs that drive IP’s commitment for a diverse, inclusive and engaged culture and workforce. Cheryl’s prior experiences were with Xerox, Boise Cascade and Integration One, all companies in which she held key sales and management positions.

In Memphis, Cheryl is a Board Member of the Mid-South Minority Business Council, BRIDGES, and is the 2011 Diversity Chair for The Society of Human Resources Managers (SHRM). Nationally, she is a member of the Diversity Best Practices Global Council, on Virtcom Consulting’s World Diversity Leadership Summit Advisory Committee and the Advisory Board for Minorities and Women in Business. Cheryl has also been featured in international publications where she has discussed various aspects of diversity and inclusion.

Cheryl is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Business Degree. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Cheryl and Walt are the parents of two daughters, Dara and DeAnna.
