Cheryl Fiedler is Executive Director of Study Strategy and Planning at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and has over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical clinical development. Cheryl joined BMS in 2004 and is responsible for overseeing the business process of Study Start-Up and Recruitment. Specifically, her responsibilities include providing benchmarking and feasibility data regarding geographic placement of clinical trials, facilitating the process to enable country selection for worldwide clinical trials, conducting feasibility in the area of site and patient recruitment, development and execution of investigator grants and contracts and developing strategic plans for patient recruitment and retention. Her professional experience also includes founding, developing and overseeing all aspects of clinical investigative site operations. She has also led the development of corporate programs in the areas of study feasibility, patient recruitment and clinical study site identification. Prior to joining BMS, Cheryl held positions at Marion Merrell Dow, Inc., Family Medicine Research Center of St. Louis and SCIREX Corporation.
Cheryl obtained both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Saint Louis College of Pharmacy. She subsequently completed a residency and fellowship in Family Medicine and Clinical Research at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was also a founding member of the Deaconess Hospital Institutional Review Board.
