Beverly Goulet
Beverly Goulet was named Vice President-Corporate Development and Treasurer in June 2002. Bev is responsible for American’s debt and equity financings, derivatives programs including fuel hedging, banking, corporate insurance and risk management, and fleet transactions. She is also responsible for American’s corporate development initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments.
Bev joined American in 1993 as Associate General Counsel for Corporate Finance. In that capacity, she was involved in American’s aircraft and other financing transactions. She was appointed Managing Director-Corporate Development in March 1999.
Recent key accomplishments include approximately $12 billion in financings arranged since 2009. Prior key accomplishments include the sale of American Beacon in 2008 and the spin-off in March 2000 of The Sabre Group, the acquisition in April 2001 of substantially all of the assets of TWA, and several billion dollars of financings arranged earlier in the decade in connection with American’s on-going balance sheet repair.
Prior to joining American, Bev practiced corporate and securities law in Dallas for 13 years. She received both her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor Degrees from the University of Michigan.
