Betsy Silva Hernandez is Senior Director, Learning, Consulting and Employee Network Groups for Sodexo. Betsy has more than 18 years of senior-level operations, human resources and diversity leadership experience. She has served as the Chief Diversity Officer and Vice President for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and American Express. 

She is a frequent guest speaker on topics that include Latino and Hispanics in the U.S., managing personal and professional change, career development, strategic workplace diversity, diversity in healthcare, cultural competence, balancing the demands of work and personal life, and women in the workplace. She has been a guest speaker at the Chief Diversity Officers Summit, National Hispanic MBA Conference,  the Conference Boards Diversity Council,  Conference Boards Diversity Workshops,  Diversity Best Practices Conference, Catalyst Awards Conference, Raytheon’s Women’s Conference, National Women’s Conference and Blue Cross Blue Shield Associations Diversity Conference.

Betsy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Inter-American University in Puerto Rico.  She is a 2005 National Hispana Leadership Fellow and a graduate of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
