Anne M. Lang is chief human resources officer (CHRO) and principal of Grant Thornton LLP. Since Anne joined the firm in 2004, she has been instrumental in developing the Grant Thornton Experience - the basis of the firm’s culture. As CHRO, Anne oversees HR strategy, strategic learning, experienced and campus recruiting, as well as career management, compensation, benefits, information systems, employee relations, compliance and HR communications. Before becoming CHRO in 2005, Anne was Grant Thornton’s national director of HR operations. Prior to joining the firm, she spent more than 20 years at Arthur Andersen LLP. Anne currently serves on the boards of Council for Adult and Experiential Learning, House of the Good Shepherd and Catholic Charities, as well as the Finance Council of Holy Name Cathedral and the Human Resources Council of the American Management Association. Anne received her B.A. in communication arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
