Anne Erni

Head of Leadership Learning and Diversity, Bloomberg L.P.

Anne Erni has recently joined Bloomberg L.P. as the head of Leadership, Learning and Diversity. Her responsibilities include talent management initiatives such as succession planning, executive coaching and professional development programs. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Anne was the Chief Diversity Officer at Lehman Brothers whose global responsibilities included the recruiting, retention and advancement of women and under-represented groups. She led the development of cutting edge strategies for workforce, marketplace and supplier diversity and the work-life integration agenda. Ms Erni developed Lehman Brothers' award winning Encore program, a first of its kind, global recruiting initiative designed to facilitate networking and professional development opportunities for individuals, who left the workforce voluntarily and were interested in resuming their careers. In 2001, Ms. Erni co-founded and co-chaired the Firm's women's network: Women's Initiatives Leading Lehman (WILL) and post bankruptcy, Anne co-founded the Lehman Brothers women's alumni network "WILLpower". Ms. Erni has more than 15 years of front line experience having spent 10 years on the trading floor in both fixed income and prime brokerage sales and 5 years in corporate banking. Prior to joining Lehman she worked for Bankers Trust and Swiss Bank Corporation. She serves on the Board of Trustees for Prep for Prep, is on the Board of Directors for Center of Work-Life Policy and as well as for several organizations that are committed to the advancement of women and minorities in the workplace including the "Hidden Brain Drain Taskforce." In 2008, she was recognized as a Diversity Champion by The National Council for Research on Women. Ms. Erni holds a B.A. and M.A. in international relations from The Johns Hopkins University. She is married and has two children.
