Andrea Wicks Bowles is Senior Consultant with Bright Horizons Family Solutions’ Consulting Practice. In this role she works with clients to enhance the effectiveness of employees and strengthen their organizational position as an employer of choice. She has worked extensively with institutions of higher learning and understands the collaborative approach to identifying organizational challenges and building consensus to meet the needs of diverse target populations. Ms. Wicks Bowles also leads Bright Horizons research investigation that focus on the refinement and advancement of organizational effectiveness programs, policies and services. Her knowledge of child care policies, organizational effectiveness and work/life industry trends combined with analytical skills is used help clients uncover issues and challenges that are in the context of a larger body of research. With over two decades of experience in the work/life consulting, Ms. Wicks Bowles joined Bright Horizons Family Solutions in 2004. Formally with WFD and then Ceridian, for 14 years Ms. Wicks Bowles developed child and elder care strategies and community development initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, managed relationships with state and local organizations to deliver services to corporate clients and presented to clients and industry experts about the issues of work-life integration. In 1996 Ms. Wicks Bowles lived in the UK and helped to establish LifeWorks, a service of WFD that served the work/life needs of US clients with a presence in the UK and to reach UK based companies to support the challenges of managing work and family care responsibilities. Ms. Wicks Bowles holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from University of Colorado Boulder and a Masters of Science in Education from Bank Street College. And is an alumnus of the Denver Community Leadership Program.
