Engaging volunteers Carver’s day job consists of recruiting community volunteer leadership, raising critical revenue to support March of Dimes' programs, and conducting important events and projects to support March of Dimes’ mission: to ensure a healthy birth for every baby by preventing birth defects, infant mortality and prematurity.

Creative thinker Carver has successfully coordinated many events for WalkAmerica/March for Babies and Jail & Bail events (where volunteer "jailbirds" serve time in a mock jail) during her 20-year tenure at March of Dimes. She also originated the Blue Jeans for Babies drive, which is now in its 18th year.
