"Business trip bound for some sleep... and, oh yeah, professional development :)" was my first tweet this morning.
My single, childless co-worker thinks I'm kidding, but we're headed to this evening's conference attendee reception in a few minutes, and after I stuff my face with enough pig-in-a-blankets, cheese squares and crackers to fill me for the night, I'm going to bed! Forget about going to dinner or going shopping. Business trips are for sleep--a precious privilege to me now that I have two small children, one of which is a nocturnal eight-month old. I may even turn in before the nightly news goes off. That's how badly I need some zzz's.
Are you in the same boat? Here are some signs that you too may be due for a business trip:

2. Nodding off while interviewing a candidate for a position you are filling.
3. Falling asleep while reading a bedtime story to your child and abruptly waking to confused calls for "Mommy! Mommy!"
4. Dozing off while standing up and (get this!) ironing clothes.
5. And my favorite: surprisingly snoozing while tubed to a suctioning breast pump vacuum powered by a 12 Volt DC power supply.
I wish I made this stuff up...

You go Girl! I am not in the
