I'm incredibly excited about our event (March 18). Once again, we will honor the NAFE Top Companies for Executive Women---companies that have moved women into top executive positions and created a culture that supports and nurtures women. This year we are honoring 50 companies, with more than 350 people to come and help us celebrate at Cipriani 42nd Street here in New York City.

In addition to honoring these outstanding companies, we are also looking forward to enjoying our keynote speaker, noted NY Times columnist Nicholas Kristof. When we read Kristof’s recent op-ed piece entitled “Mistresses of the Universe,” we knew he would be the perfect speaker for our celebration. If you haven’t read the article, he talked about recent discussions at the World Economic Forum regarding whether we would have been in the same economic crisis today if Lehman Brothers had been Lehman Sisters. After reviewing some research on differences between the genders, Kristoff concluded with the “…hope that banks seek a little more diversity on their own---just as as desperately as they’re seeking bailouts.” Here’s a link to Kristof’s article
