Mommy Fitness Shape up!

DIETING SUCKS! It just does, and diets DO NOT lead to long lasting results, because a diet by definition is just that: a diet, a break away from your normal eating habits, so that when you go back to your real eating habits so comes back those pounds along with it. So what's a busy mom to do?

I decided I got tired of dieting, tired of being hungry or deprived, and tired of not enjoying life. I love food, I love going out to eat with my hubby, I love celebrating with my family at get togethers, and I love being social and eating with friends. However, I do NOT love the fact that I've been sitting on this last 10 pounds of baby weight for, oh, MONTHS now!

So I'm sharing this real venture into my own personal weight loss/fitness goals for two reasons:  1. because it makes me accountable for sticking to it!(LOL) and 2. Because if I can do it, all while working 40+ a week and chasing a toddler, ANYONE can. No gimmicks, no slimquicks, no slimfasts, no nothing. Just a real mom attempting to slowly modify dietary habits and exercise, while NOT depriving myself of the good things in life!

Current weight loss goal: 15 lbs

Biggest body part to work on: ABS (sigh. the sacrifices we moms make!)

Biggest weaknesses: chocolate, chips, and pastas/rice

Routine for Week 1: Work out at least 3 times a week for 20-30 min to start

Decrease portion sizes by 20%

Off we go! Wish me luck and I'll continue to keep you updated!
