Massage memo.

Tame tension with a partner massage, suggests Kellie Smith, a masseuse in Glendale, CA. Beyond the obvious physical relaxation benefits, "it can make you feel closer," she says. Massage also increases blood circulation and the flow of feel-good hormones. Alternate massaging each other from the neck and shoulders down to the legs and toes. Thoughts about who has to pick up the kids from aftercare–gone. Enjoy the afterglow by talking or seeing where the soothed mood takes you.

It's very common and most

JonathanFlorick's picture

It's very common and most expect it. It will be politely ignored, much like a doctor ignores it during a prostate exam as long as you don't moan, grunt or grind. If it get too noticeable she (or he) will excuse themselves for a bit to let you calm down. It's a natural reponse and is discussed during training and how to handle it. If you do feel wierd about it and absolutley must say something to break the awkwardness of it just say 'oops sorry" and don't mention it again. Anything more will verge on the creepy side. Edit:If you move to lying on your back you can adjust yourself and try to tuck the towel under your hips to keep it snug and prevent pop-up tent. I g uess it would be the equivalent of getting hard in boxers vs. briefs. Things a little more contained in the briefs.

For 13 years my husband and I have given each other massages. It is a good way to relieve stress and stay focused in our marriage. We are both very busy and sometimes work opposite hours, so this time together is extra special.
