Not really about an older woman dating younger men, Cougar Town is more about a newly single working mom trying to do right by her teenage son while having a bit of fun (and a lot of wine) along the way. So she gets by with a little help from her friends, who all form a ragtag extended family, with sheepish teen Travis at its center. It’s a given that she loves and is devoted to her son, but sometimes you need a little backup—like someone to help get your kid to be Burt Reynolds for Halloween.
