It has been a while since my last post and I have been busy shopping for the holidays, working on my business and taking care of one sick baby…

I am a first time mom and there is nothing worse than having a sick child at home and not knowing what to do. So who better to call and ask then my mother, I did so in complete and utter paranoia. She just told me to relax, run to the store and that what the baby needs more than anything right now is my love and comfort. She said you will not believe how much better children feel when they are around their mothers.  She was right!!!

After the phone call I jumped into the closet got rid of my paranoia and changed into super mom and made a midnight run to CVS to rummage through the shelves for the best infant medicine available. I then rushed home to deliver the medicine, rubbed her head and waited patiently for it to start working so my little one could get some sleep. Unfortunately it was not a restful few nights for either of us. When she did sleep next to me I laid awake watching to make sure that she was not cold, elevated her when I thought that she needed help with her breathing and kept her hydrated by giving her a sippy cup when she woke up. In that time I never once became frustrated and I know it was because my mother gave me the advice, comfort and love I needed to help me through this situation. Thank You MOM!
