My son, Jack, and I play the superpower game. He toggles between being invisible and flying. My would-be superpower: the ability to create more time. I wish the ticking clock would pause now and then so I could fit more in. That’s why I’m all about shortcuts. Did you know that throwing a few tennis balls into the clothes dryer can cut the drying time in half? That multitasking can actually make you less productive? Or that putting socks on can help you fall asleep faster?
We’ve included these and other time-saving tips and strategies in our redesign, where we’ve organized the magazine to reflect the challenges you face each day—and delivered realistic solutions. The four sections (Morning, Day, Evening and Weekend) are designed to make your life easier. You’ll also find the smart work-life strategies, handy shortcuts for everyday tasks and the inspiration you’ve come to rely upon when you open the pages of our magazine.
Let me know what you think of the changes. And to stay in touch (or just tell me what your superpower would be), join our Reader Panel: reader.panel@working mother.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
