Let's be realistic. My husband and I both work full time and get home at 7pm, just in time for dinner as a family. Our live-in Hungarian au pair does the homework with our 1st grader. Suggest adding option D. Nanny or au pair.

I agree with Jacal. There should be an answer C: both. In our house, it is whoever picks up from school. It varies from day to day.

Why polarize it... I can't answer your poll - we help the kids equally. Should be an alternative c) We both help our kids. ;-)
