Holland & Hart
Offers a reentry program for lawyer moms.
Attorneys at this Denver-based firm aren’t penalized for opting to work reduced hours. They’re eligible for equity partnership alongside full-time colleagues, and since 2004 three women have been promoted to partner while working a reduced schedule. It’s a policy popular with many attorneys at the partner level: Last year, 17 worked reduced hours, including 14 women. New moms can transition back to work on reduced hours as well, and in 2008 four chose the option. Three of six attorneys sitting on the partnership committee are women, and last year, 34 female lawyers received leadership and management training to help them advance. Meanwhile, the first two winners of a new summer associate diversity scholarship were women.
