Throwing a holiday soiree? Enlist Mommy’s little helpers.

Delegate decor. Ask your kids to make snowflake paper garlands to hang across the room. Little ones can decorate with crayons, markers and glitter glue, while older kids can cut snowflake patterns, add intricate decorations and help hang.

Make edible favors. Decorated sugar cookies make for delicious take-home favors that kids can help bake. Let them mix, roll, cut out shapes and then decorate the cookies after baking. Find inspiration here.

Organize and invite.
If you’re hosting a children’s party, discuss themes like cookie exchanges and ornament or gingerbread-house making. The kids can make the invitations, then hand-deliver them with a candy cane or other treat.
