What to do with leftover pink, red and chocolate candy from Valentine’s Day? Keep spreading the love with these family-friendly activities.
Just stamp it. Dip conversation candy hearts into colored paint and use them as stamps for decorating homemade birthday cards, wrapping paper or brown-paper lunch bags.
Party heart-y. Use leftover chocolate as fuel for a family fondue party. Just melt in a metal bowl over a pot of boiling water and add cream until the consistency is smooth and velvety. Skewer apple, pear and banana slices for dipping.
Teach and play. Make learning math skills a lot sweeter by using little candies to teach counting and sorting—with one piece left over to reward right answers. Candies also make cute markers in after-dinner games like bingo or tic-tac-toe.
