There’s no sweeter holiday sound than kids ripping through wrapping paper. To prepare a perfect present in five easy steps:

1. Gather materials: wrapping paper, scissors, tape, adhesive bow or ribbon.

2. Unroll paper to generously wrap around the gift; cut to fit, making sure there’s enough at each end to cover.

3. Overlap the lengthwise edges of the paper over the gift and tape evenly in place.

4. On one end, grasp the left and right edges of the paper and push the sides in so top and bottom flaps are formed. Crease the flaps sharply, push up against the box, and tape. Repeat for the other end of the box.

5. Place the box seam side down and add the bow on top.
