If your little night owl has trouble winding down, a mini meditation can help. First, have her do a few froggie jumps to expel excess energy, says Shari Vilchez-Blatt, founder of Karma Kids Yoga in new York City. Then dim the lights, cue up mellow music and set comfy pillows on the floor. Have her sit and breathe in and out five times, then close her eyes while you tell a relaxing story. At the end, give her an image like the soothing sea to focus on. Ring a bell to signal that it’s time to tuck in. Namaste.
