Guilty Pleasure Now 50% Less Guilty

Posted on December 14, 2007

I fancy myself a highly educated, hardworking, professional, executive mommy. My monthly reading list includes The Economist, Working Mother Magazine, The Puget Sound Business Journal, Fast Company and Parenting.

Except when I'm at the grocery store. Then, I devour People Magazine. I always find the longest line at the check out so I can read as much of my People as possible. It never alerts me to economic troubles brewing in other countries, or gives me tips on how to negotiate a higher salary, or announces who has taken the top job at local companies and I love it.

I bumped into an old friend, Gillian Sheldon, and she introduced me to a website called MomLogic. I have to say, I'm a fan. I love it because I can log on and read about Kiefer Sutherland getting busted for drunk driving, see a photo of a shirtless David Beckham, read that my toaster has been recalled, get a few recipes for healthy kids snacks and see writing from other mommies just like me - all in a quick five minute glance. It is a site that understands how little time mommies have and serves us up a mixture of fun reading and important reading all in one.

Check it out.
