New to the homework world? Build habits to get the job done now and for the long haul.

Set up structure. Establish a consistent place for homework, with the right supplies on hand. A checklist on the fridge will help your child hone responsibility and thoroughness.

Finish early.
After a brief snack/play break after school to recharge, have your child dive into homework and aim to finish before dinner.

Guide, but don’t do the work. Young kids need an adult to provide structure and support for the homework process.

Tip:
Do longer assignments first.
