If styling your kids’ locks is a hairy situation:
1. Distract her.
Give her something to do (a book or puzzle) while you use a wide-tooth comb to part hair into sections. Spray each section with detangler, then start at the ends and work your way up to the scalp.
2. Let her pick.
Just as you would with her clothes, have your girl pick out a hairstyle and the accessories to go with her outfit, like a high bun for a poufy skirt and ballet flats, or a barrette that matches her top.
3 Make it fun.
Use kid-friendly products that smell great and come in bright, fun or character-themed packaging. He won’t mind a little dab of the color-changing mousse or car-themed leave-in conditioner.
