What We Love

A new on-ramp program eases the reentry of lawyer moms who’ve taken an extended absence from this Cincinnati-based firm, which merged with Indianapolis’s Locke Reynolds earlier this year. Developed by the Women’s Initiative, the program evolved from the firm’s realization that investing time and money in developing and training young women lawyers—only to lose them when the challenge of juggling professional and family responsibilities became too much—made no economic sense. Under the program, the firm pays a participant’s bar association dues and other state fees and invites her to training, professional development sessions and other events. The goal? To attract lawyer moms to the firm when they are ready to return to work.
