New moms get 16 weeks paid maternity leave.
The work/life balance committee at this global corporate firm knows how to get things done. After reviewing all of the firm’s reduced-hours and flexible work arrangements to ensure consistency across departments, the committee advocated for new supportive policies, including the appointment of a coordinator in the firm’s New York City and Washington, DC, offices to oversee alternative work schedules. To boost interest in flexible work arrangements, the committee compiled a list of firm lawyers already working flextime or reduced hours so that they could answer questions from interested colleagues.
