Our staffers’ husbands share their ideal Father’s Day.
It would start with the kids sleeping until 7 a.m. (hasn’t happened yet), hanging out in bed with the family watching television until 9 and then playing outside together. If a banana split was involved at some point I wouldn’t mind.
—Andrew Goldman (corporate marketing director Jessica Goldman), dad of Harrison, 5, and Blake, 1
As a young dad (most of my friends aren’t even married!), I’d appreciate a guy’s day out to a ball game with some Scotch and cigars. Then maybe a snuggle with my baby girl afterward.
—David Kwon (associate editor Irene Kwon), dad of Zoie, 1
I'd like to sleep late, watch a marathon of Moonshiners episodes and have some eggplant parm from Mike’s Deli in the Bronx.
—Paul LaBrocca (operations director Jacqueline Tozzi LaBrocca), dad of Ava, 5, and Brendan, 1
I’d love to spend Father’s Day in a canoe, with my wife and son paddling while I sip a single-malt Scotch. —Jim Meddick (senior research editor Krista Carothers), dad of Jack, 7
