A Twitter party is the best kind of party--one you can attend while wearing your pajamas or any other comfy outfit because we will never know. You can follow from home, your office, your mobile phone or tablet! That's because it's a virtual party conducted via Twitter. Working Mother Twitter parties are a text-based group discussion with the chance to win great prizes.

So if you're new to Twitter what do you do?

Step 1: Create a Twitter account. Go to Twitter.com and follow the easy sign-up rules. Choose a Twitter name (known as a handle in Twitter circles) and register. The whole process from start to finish won't take more than a minute.

Step 2: Read the party rules online

Step 3: RSVP. To be eligible for prizes, send an email to RSVP@workingmother.com--and type your Twitter @name in the subject line along with #workmom.

Step 4: Log-in in time for the party! Type #workmom in the search field, the official Working Mother hashtag. It is an easy way to immediately join the Working Mother conversation. Conversely add #workmom to your tweets so others can follow along with you!

Step 5: Follow the people (or tweeters) whose tweets you find interesting at the party. Chances are they'll follow you back. Start by following @_workingmother_. It's the Twitter version of exchanging business cards at a networking meeting.

Working Mother Twitter parties draw lots of participants and move fast. Don't miss the fun, the laughs, the prizes and the chance to meet a lot of new tweeters to follow.

Save the date: @_workingmother_ Twitter parties are scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of each month in 2011 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. Pacific.

Feel free to tweet all about it! And invite friends on Facebook, too.
