Engagement isn’t a buzzword; it’s the daily MO at Early Discoveries, Abbott’s Center for Child development in north suburban Chicago. Children paint and make collages in the art studio, cook in the center’s kitchen, plant and pick flowers in the garden and try yoga, T-ball and countless other activities. Because the center is on-site at Abbott’s corporate headquarters, parents can easily volunteer in the classrooms, serve on the parent association or simply drop by to say hi.
