(November 7, 2011) – Celebrating extraordinary women around the nation who are committed to helping other women, the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) has named the recipients of the 2011 annual Women of Excellence Awards, honoring the accomplishments of NAFE members in their careers, businesses, and communities.
“NAFE’s annual Women of Excellence Awards spotlight remarkable NAFE members who are dedicated not only to their own success, but also to the success of other women, said Dr. Betty Spence, NAFE President. “This year’s stellar honorees demonstrate unwavering courage in overcoming obstacles to their success, commitment to reaching back to give a hand to other women, and deep compassion in their service to their communities.”
The Women of Excellence Awards highlight the breadth of achievement by NAFE members around the country, ranging from young women entrepreneurs to women at the peak of their corporate careers. These dynamic leaders come from every region of the United States and are making it their life work to ensure more women move into leadership. This year’s outstanding honorees include top executives from Kraft, IBM, PepsiCo, Verizon, and Sam’s Club.
