Your babe won’t go to sleep without a pacifier? Help her break away from the binky.
1 Snip it.
Cut off a piece of the pacifier tip each night. It will change the sensation your child gets from sucking and make it less appealing.
2 Go slow.
Limit binky use to fewer and fewer locations, like the crib or the stroller, to ease her out of the habit gradually.
3 Stay strong.
Once your child has ditched the binky, it should be gone for good. You may have a few tough nights, but giving it back will make things tougher down the line.
