Suzanne Riss is Editor-in-Chief of Working Mother, the voice of 2.4 million working moms. She leads the magazine’s editorial coverage, which blends personal, professional and family related stories. She oversees special initiatives, including the Working Mother 100 Best Companies, a vital benchmark for corporate America, and the groundbreaking Best Companies for Multicultural Women, which has drawn national attention to issues of diversity, race and gender in the workplace. A working mom herself, Suzanne has held senior positions at national magazines for more than ten years. Before joining Working Mother, she served as Managing Editor at American Demographics, where she helped guide the magazine's coverage of emerging trends, particularly those involving women and their choices relating to work and family. At Heart & Soul, a consumer magazine for African American women, she oversaw special projects on health and money. As Editor-in-Chief of Ticker magazine, she spearheaded the popular Wall Street 100 list of highest earners. At Steven's Brill's New Jersey Law Journal, she contributed to the signature investigative surveys, including the law firms that engaged in the best practices for advancing women. An advocate for the issues that matter most to working moms, Suzanne is interviewed extensively by national broadcast and print media and speaks on a variety of work/life and parenting related topics. Her appearances and interview credits include Good Morning America, the Today Show, Entertainment Tonight, CNN, the Wall Street Journal, the Associated Press and USA Today. She graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a BA in comparative literature. She received her MA in journalism from Columbia University.
