Become a Woman of Influence - The Power of Value-Based Relationships

What skills are necessary to help bridge the gap between professional and executive positions? What are the unique qualities and traits that make a true leader stand out and get noticed?

NAFE Women’s Leadership Summits offer inspirational speakers, training and skill-building components designed to increase tools and applicable strategies for high-potential, high-achieving women who are looking to make the most of their careers.  Women at all levels are invited to participate in this results-driven day of learning, skill building, and professional development. Part of every discussion will be work-life balance issues facing moms, pre-moms, all care-givers, and everyone who struggles to incorporate personal passions into their lives.

Women at every level face the same burning questions:

  • How do I negotiate the next raise, the next promotion, the next stretch assignment?
  • What skills are necessary to increase my influence and build and sustain business relationships?
  • What are my authentic qualities and traits that make my leadership get noticed?

When it comes to leadership, women need to understand their own value and then take control, embrace their power and claim credit for their ideas. In short, they must take responsibility for shaping how people think about them. No small feat—but leadership is not just earned, it can also be learned. This Women’s Leadership Summit invites decision-makers and C-suite executives to share how they successfully negotiate their advancement and grow their self-confidence daily around drive and ambition. Skill-building workshops will help you to develop your brand and identify and maximize influential networking opportunities—all with the hefty goal of demonstrating how to embrace power and leverage your influence and value in your organizations.

Please take the PERSONAL BRAND QUICK QUIZ to assess the current strength of your brand.

Share your new discoveries and get answers at the conference!

9:30 – 10:15                        Opening Keynote & CONVERSATION: The Power of Influence

We are all searching for opportunities to connect with people of influence—individuals we can learn from, count on or emulate as we navigate our professional careers. But instead of focusing on our own professional or personal needs, how often do we consider what we have to offer the women around us? Do we initiate introductions, recognize the women sitting next to us, or pass on a secret or two to those up and comers who are standing where we once stood? Each successful personal or professional relationship can begin with YOU. It’s time to own your own power of influence in the relationship-building world—you CAN become one of the women you wish you knew…and that might make all the difference.

In this session we will share key research on what distinguishes men and women, as it relates to their networks, and provide ideas about how you can strengthen your network by understanding how the brain plays a significant role in your networking choices and the different types of networks. Personal branding has emerged as the new differentiatorand competitive imperativefor both individuals and organizations. And yet, there’s still significant confusion about what personal branding isand isn’tand why and how to begin thinking of yourself as a brand. Personal branding is not, as a recent Fox News interviewer suggested, a “swoosh” and a “Just do it” tagline. Learn how to distinguish the substance from the spin and what it takes to “get your brand on” and take it to market.

Learn how to:

  • Assess the strength of your personal brand
  • How do we brand/package this and how strong is your brand?
  • Obtain feedback on how you are currently perceived
  • Use personal branding to differentiate yourself, your team and/or your organization
  • Leverage your brand to increase your visibility, impact and market value
  • Manage your brand as an asset
