Is Your New Year Living Up to the Hype?

Posted on January 12, 2013

How is your 2013 so far?  Be honest.

Is it living up to the expectations you set for it?

If not, why?

What are your intentions this year?

Want to hear mine?

I want to take this year by storm.  Dreaming bigger than ever before, being bolder in my actions and in my thinking, and not holding back when listening to my gut.  Bravery needs practice sometimes.  I'm workin' on it!

Do You Suffer From Business ADD?

Who Else Suffers From Business Attention Deficit Disorder (BADD)?

I don’t think I have ADD.  I mean, not in the traditional sense, but maybe another form of the diagnosis.  Let me explain what I mean…

How Confidence Positively Impacts Your Career

From following my blog, I’m sure you have gotten the sense that I’m not a woman who sits on the sideline watching life go by.  I am engaged with life.  I live a life of action.

How To Goal Set This Year As You Reflect on the Past Year

Posted on December 31, 2012

As each year comes to a close, I enjoy looking back over the year.  I ask myself questions such as:

What are the highlights of my year?

What has served me well over this past year and what has not?

Do You Leave It Up To The Husband?

Posted on December 29, 2012

I started a web-based household record keeping service four years ago. It's centered around a personal record keeping application called "Matters of Fact (Things the Family Should Know)."

"Knowing" that today's enlightened women share knowledge and responsibility for family finances and record keeping, I concentrated my marketing efforts on them.

Fast forward four years. Big surprise! Most of my users are men.

Do women still leave the household finances and record keeping up to their husbands?

Confession: Not Keeping Up Appearances

When will I learn? I’ve been working from home now for more than 7 years and yet I still manage to get caught out there looking pretty blah. I confess that I’ve fallen into a rut. I’m not keeping up appearances. I’m soooo comfortable at home when the kids are at school and my husband is at the office. I can work at my own pace...sipping on tea as I peck away at my computer, crunching numbers and sending out emails to the office. Most often I can be found sitting there with my hair undone, wearing ill- fitted pants and a frumpy tee shirt.

Who Doesn't Want to be More Productive?!

Posted on November 29, 2012

Why are some people able to get more done in a day than you seem to be able to accomplish in three hours? It's not that they are superhuman (even though it may seem like that) or because they have an invisible staff hovering around them helping out with their every needs.

Let Go of Mom Guilt AND Mom Judgment at the Same Time

Posted on November 20, 2012

Recently there has been a lot of hubbub  about working vs. non-working moms.  Already my mind is short circuiting.

I don’t know any moms who don’t work.

I don’t care if they have their own business, work a full time job outside the home,  stay at home with children  or travel with the local circus (oh wait a minute, that’s the stay at home with children option) -  mom’s are working.
