My Confession

My Confession

I have a confession I’ve never admitted to anyone. I’m a copycat. I don’t trust myself enough to make my own decisions or be who I am, so I imitate others. From work, to dieting to parenting, I study what others do before I make a move.

At work I’ll ask others what they think before making a decision. “How did she handle this situation in the past?” “What would you do?”

With dieting, I ask others how they are keeping the weight off, read success stories in magazines and study every diet book ever made to try to obtain the same level of success.

Feel like Making Love

Oh yes, I am going to go there. Those of you who think its TMI, stop reading now because this is about to get really real.

I love my husband. Not only do I love my husband, I like my husband. He is funny, cute, smart and talented. We have respect for each other's similarities and differences, weaknesses and strengths. Sounds perfect? Not in the bedroom.

Get Your Needs Met

Mom's needs are not mutually exclusive to family needs. As primary caregivers we get so involved meeting the needs of others that we often have a hard time expressing our own.

What is your swimming pool safety IQ?

May is National Water Safety month and as kids head to the pools there are some rules that they should keep in mind.  Swimming is great exercise and a great way to get kids out in the water and getting physical activity during the hot Texas summers.

Bullying on the Baseball Field

Shocking! And a parent's greatest fear! Bullies aren't just at school or in your neighborhood any more. They also can be on your child's sports team. A place where children are supposed to learn what team means.
