Can't Control Emotional Eating?  You're Not Alone!

When I was in high school, during exams, one of my girlfriends would be so stressed out from studying, boyfriend problems and lack of sleep that she would literally stop eating and immediately lose five pounds.  Unfortunately, I was just the opposite.  Stress, of any kind, seemed to make me react by reaching for a bag of potato chips or box of cookies for comfort.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that drop-side cribs, where a side rail can be raised and lowered, are now banned in US. Many mothers out there, long aware of the potential for injury they cause, are probably thinking to themselves, it's about time.

Not only are drop-side cribs now illegal to sell new, so is the resale of used drop-side cribs and the use of them in day care centers and in hotels.

Bring Chocolate Milk Back

According to the Center for Disease Control, childhood obesity has more than tripled in the past 30 years.  To give you an idea of the severity of this problem, back in 1980 only 6.5 percent of children ages 6-11 were obese. The percentage of obese children rose to a staggering 20 percent in 2008. If the obesity trends continue along this path, at least 3 out of 4 people will be obese by the year 2020.

What would you do when you're in a room with one of the professional dancers of Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance TV Shows? Moi? I danced!

I was on vacation at a Spa in Tucson AZ when I saw that one of their workout sessions was a workout created by Louis Van Amstel. I tried the class and loved it. Then I found out that the he was coming to town to teach class that week. I was ecstatic!
