A Time Out For Mommy

Okay let’s admit it – sometimes mommy needs a time out!  Just an hour (even a half hour will do) where mommy can have some time to herself to chill out!  Whether it’s a quick nap, cozying up reading a good book, meditation, stretching or just lying down and relaxing – a little time out is so important to rejuvenate!  Here are some great products I’ve found to help mommies relax.

Glastonbury Chiropractic Has My Back

Skeletons abound this time of year, but what about our own bones?  How can we keep our bones healthy aside from consuming Calcium rich foods and beverages? This summer I learned a valuable lesson about bones from Dr. Jamie Lemeck of Glastonbury Chiropractic. I have been a patient at this office for the past seven years, where they take excellent care of my spine, which sometimes endures up to seventy miles of pounding per week, depending on what event I am training for. This past summer I noticed a sharp pain in my foot after jumping off the side of a swimming pool.

Fall Maternity Flats

How many times did you swear that you wouldn't be one of those girls that gave up their heels when they started wearing maternity pants? And how soon after that did you realize that your swollen, battered feet needed a stylish break?

Hartford Marathon Foundation Events, Starring Long-Wearing Lipstick

What woman wants to be the subject of such well meaning comments as, “Oh, you must be so tired,” certainly not most working mothers.  We tend to spend the extra fifteen minutes (sorry there is no such thing as the 5-minute face on five hours of sleep) that it takes to carefully apply coordinated eye, lip and face paints before heading off to work.  Recently, a young gorgeous law st

What Do You Add To Your Closet For Fall?

During the last week of August every year I notice that I always get a little down. It's technically the last little bit of summer, though really that shouldn't have much of an effect on me. Since I work full time in an office I really can't be upset that my days of sunshine are numbered. I don't have the luxury lounging at the pool all summer, so a Monday in the office is really no different in October than it is in June.

Daydreaming Runner Mother

About a year after my daughter was born, I entered a 12 mile road race.  I felt almost no pain during the race, and comfortably ran consistent 8 minute miles or a little faster.
