Whether good or bad, celebrities often have a lot to say.  It could be totally heartfelt or completely vain, but whatever it is, we’re usually listening.  And, when it comes to parenting, although celebrity moms seem a world apart from 9-5 moms, they sometimes say things that remind us, our common bond of motherhood makes us closer than we think.

Three meals and one dinner has been my life for almost eight years. But things are going to change in my house and here is why.

My son has been babied - I will be the first to admit, by me, my parents and a few of his relatives. He is the child of divorce and I moved him off the grid when he was 7 years old. But, ok - we've been here for two years and we need some rules. He has a piggy bank...and savings bonds. 

There’s been a lot of belly button gazing in our house this past week.

When I was growing up, the supermom was touted as the ideal mother. But when I became a mom, I realized that trying to be supermom was hard, unfulfilling and usually went unrecognized. I decided I’d rather have happiness over folded laundry. And yet, I still meet moms today who are trying to negotiate flex time or work from home so they have time for the kids and housework and all that goes into being a supermom. I'm not saying that is wrong. What I'm asking is, is that "all"?

Let me start by saying that as a Boston resident, I am very lucky that my family and friends were not physically harmed in the recent marathon bombings. I'm also very appreciative and understanding of the fact that although I travel more than the average mom, I don't travel as much as some other working moms out there.
