As a busy working mom, I have to make choices about where I spend my time. Make dinner or clean off my desk? The people that live with me prefer dinner.

It's been half term week here, over the pond. For the first time in ages my daughter, Ellie, who is 17 finished her exams in time for us to be able to share a short break together in France. It was lovely and we were able to talk about many things, including her plans for the future. We have one more year of school before she takes off for a gap year in Paris and then, hopefully, to Dublin to read for a degree in History.
