I'm a counselor at a small elementary school and a mom of one child, Connor. Sometimes the situations I juggle in my career sound as if they come straight from a screenplay. Others who work in public schools might believe they're true but others of you might be astounded. Due to confidentiality I will change all the names and will not identify my workplace. However, the events which I refer to will indeed be true -- could I make this stuff up? I only wish I had started this blog earlier in the year -- you just wouldn't believe it. So enjoy and read on. If not, well, at least writing the blog may proove to be therapeutic for the counselor, helping me to let go of some of the madness my career entails, and allowing me to better focus on my favorite role: Mommy.
