New Poll: Some Working Moms Stay At the Office To Avoid Child Care

When faced with a major deadline at work or a toddler who is having the mother-of-all tantrums at home, most working moms will choose – work, according to a recent poll conducted by TODAY Moms and Parenting.com. Of the more than 26,000 moms who participated, a whopping 30 percent said they use their jobs to avoid child care. Perhaps working moms who linger at work later than they need to might treasure the sense of accomplishment, collegial spirit (and most importantly, the quiet!) that comes from being at the office.

I don`t want to judge but I believe both father and mother have the right and responsility to take care of the babies. In one occasion my husband give me as a present a nice Peruvian baby carrier that he bought in Cuzco Peru. But he ended up using it most of the time and this was a great relief for me.
